Our team is thrilled to announce the publication of our first report, titled ‘Quality in the Baby Room: Actionable Findings from a Global Evidence Review’!
You can access our report here: www.thebabyroom.blog/report-1
This global evidence review is the first part of a three-stand project that aims to open the conversation about how we define, measure and support high-quality provision for children aged 0-2 years old in English nurseries.
We offer actionable recommendations for policy makers, training and advocacy sector organizations, nurseries, and the research community, so take a look to find out how we can work together to build stronger baby rooms in England.
But that’s not all we’re doing. Our next step in this project is to hear from baby room educators and nursery managers across England. We want to understand educators’ experiences in the baby room and hold space for their expertise to inform visions of quality for children under the age of two.
So, we’re hosting 6 conferences for baby room educators and nursery managers! This will be an unforgettable day of inspiring speakers, engaging workshops, and delicious food.
These conferences are key to the project as they are a space to hear from baby room educators and nursery managers in England about the baby room. We’ll be chatting about key issues related to the workforce while having a fun and inspiring day of professional learning.
Come along to join workshops with our wonderful speakers:
- Debbie Brace- ‘Settling In’: Supporting babies and their families to feel emotionally settled from the start
- Dr Gemma Goldenberg- Understanding babies’ brains: Practical strategies to support early learning and communication
- Cassie Holland- More than just a daily routine: The rhythm of the day
Spread the word to baby room educators and nursery managers who are interested as sign ups are going fast- in fact, London, Norwich and Manchester are already sold out!
